Hydrofluoric Acid

1.Due to its ability to dissolve oxides, hydrofluoric acid plays an important role in the purification of aluminum and uranium.

2. Hydrofluoric acid is also used to etch glass, which can engrave patterns, mark scales and words;

It is used by the semiconductor industry to remove oxides on the surface of silicon, and it can be used as a catalyst for the alkylation reaction of isobutane and n-butylene in oil refineries, and hydrofluoric acid will also be used in the "acid picking" process of removing oxygen-containing impurities on the surface of stainless steel.

4. Hydrofluoric acid is also used in the synthesis of a variety of fluorine-containing organic compounds, such as Teflon (polytetrafluoroethylene) and freon.
